Could it be "Barrio del Centenario"?
Proposal for designation of the surroundings of the Hospital Centenario and Faculty of Medicine with the name of "Barrio del Centenario"
Why not name it as "CENTENARIO" neighborhood?
More than a century ago, the population of Rosario got together to celebrate the 100 years of the May revolution. The idea that prospered was the construction of a public hospital that would become an emblem of the city. Ten years later, with "a kinesthetic need for flowering", the Faculty of Medicine, called to be one of the most important in the country, was urged.
Today the Hospital del Centenario is the head of the health service network of the Province of Santa Fe. It receives annually hundreds of patients, students and teachers from all over the world, both national and foreign. His image is projected as a referential center.
The neighborhood that surrounds these building structures has been growing and adding other faculties and institutes, libraries, different service spaces, linked to health.
The neighborhood was taking, almost spontaneously like other areas of the city, its own personality more and more protagonist. Numerous new buildings show it with an overwhelming drive.
Perhaps it was time to nominate the neighborhood "Barrio del Centenario", fulfilling the area's historic design, which slowly but surely is called to be, which the city somehow wanted in 1910.
